Biography

Htoo Khant San is a Burmese graphic designer and visual artist from Ye Township, Mon State, Myanmar. He is currently based in Bangkok, Thailand, where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication Design at the School of Architecture and Design, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT).

Working across typography, branding, publication design, motion graphics, illustration, painting, mixed media, and material experimentation, Khant’s multidisciplinary practice explores the intersection of art and design. Through visual communication, he investigates themes of identity, cultural memory, migration, technology, and social change, combining research-driven design processes with expressive artistic approaches.

Drawing from his lived experiences and the socio-political context of Myanmar, Khant creates work that bridges personal narratives with broader cultural conversations. His practice spans both digital and physical media, often incorporating experimental materials and sustainable processes to explore transformation, storytelling, and the relationship between material and meaning.

Khant’s work has been presented in exhibitions including The Northern Lights Fest: Creative Showcase in Art & Design (2024), For the Love of Heroes, Shattered Pieces, and Surreal Library Art Exhibition (2025). His projects range from visual identity systems and editorial design to painting, mixed media, and sustainable wearable art. Through his multidisciplinary practice, he continues to refine a distinctive visual language that balances conceptual thinking, craftsmanship, and meaningful visual communication.
